This Old Compaq Portable Was TOO Heavy To Be A Laptop. 😀😂😍đŸĨ°đŸ—đŸ“‡đŸ’ģ⌨️đŸ–Ĩ️🖱️đŸ’Ŋ💾đŸ’ŋ📀🕹️🎮🖲️☎️📱📲

Well Now, Always Remember, Superdavebeastula The Tall White Gothic Vampire Alien, Coming To You from Laval Quebec Canada. So. It Seems to Me that we have something of an old Portable Computer. My Digital Host, David, have found this picture somewhere, but we just don't which site or social media we got this from. At any rate, we looked up the info on Google Gemini and ZDNET. Basically, this machine came out in March of 1983. At the time it costed roughly $3000.00 if you bought this with only one Floppy Drive, which as you can see is the 5.25 inch. If you wanted two drives, as you see in the picture you have to spend about $600 more. This all-in-one luggable suitcase computer 28 Pounds or 13 Kilos. This means that it was a heavy baby, which is VERY different from today's laptops. It was also one of the earliest and most successful legal IBM PC Compatibles. There was no battery in it so the definition of mobile was much narrower than it is today. Before Compaq, IBM was the only company able to produce PCs due to its proprietary BIOS and operating system. Microsoft introduced MS-DOS which gave Compaq an OS to license for its Portable but the BIOS was IBM intellectual property. Thankyouverymuch. 😀😂😍đŸĨ°đŸ—đŸ“‡đŸ’ģ⌨️đŸ–Ĩ️🖱️đŸ’Ŋ💾đŸ’ŋ📀🕹️🎮🖲️☎️📱📲
