We have also witnessed the making of Windows 3, 3.1 and 3.11. All three were Operating Environments installed upon DOS. Those ones did NOT have a Trashbin Icons. It stared with Windows 95, 98 and NT (New Technology) 4. NT was the true Windows. They came in both Servers and Workstations form. All icons for the trash were similar. You will note that 95 and 98 were actually DOS with the Graphical User Interface (GUI) on top. 95 was DOW 7 and 98 was DOS 7.1.
